Crafty Easter Fun at Spearwood: Bunny-Crafting Centerpieces
The enthusiastic crew at Spearwood recently embraced the Easter vibes with a fantastic arts and crafts session! Under the guidance of our talented support worker, Katarzyna, they crafted charming bunny centerpieces sure to be a hit this Easter weekend.
Everyone got their own wooden bunny to decorate. First, they sanded the surface smooth, getting it ready for its special Easter makeover. Then, they chose their colours – pink for most of the girls, and a cool baby blue for the boys. With their bunnies painted to perfection, it was time to add some unique textures. Using different tools and techniques, they imprinted all sorts of patterns onto their bunnies, making each one truly special.
The finishing touch? A cute little string with two wooden beads, tied around the bunny’s neck like a fancy scarf.
Elizabeth, a regular at the arts and crafts sessions, was beaming with pride as she held up her finished bunny. She couldn’t wait to take pictures and show it off to her mum! The whole group was super proud of their creations, already planning the perfect spot to display their Easter bunnies over the holidays.
These sessions are a fantastic way for the Spearwood crew to explore their creativity, have some fun together, and celebrate special occasions like Easter. And who knows, maybe they’ll inspire their families to get crafty too!
