Our Vision

We envision communities in which everyone has the opportunity to thrive, and their voices and experiences are valued and respected.

4lifeskills is a provider of personalised life skills support for young people and adults living with disability in the Perth Metropolitan Area. With 28+ years of experience we concentrate on helping people to develop their social skills, relationships, confidence, creativity, independence and healthy habits… all while having fun.

Our approach is to empower the life and lifestyle each person wants to enjoy – in every aspect or facet – by building confidence and capability.

With our abiding passion and advocacy to change culture and policy to give people with disability the same agency that other members of the community enjoy, we are committed to transforming the way people see and think about disability.

Collaboration

Working in collaboration and making sure everyone is included and heard is central to how we operate. We regularly collaborate with other community organisations, small businesses and local government areas to provide events, experiences and services to the communities we support.

Our Client Reference Group ensures that the people who receive our 4lifeskills supports have a say in what we do. Meeting bi-monthly they have the opportunity to influence our planning and decision-making by raising concerns, providing positive feedback and letting us know what they want.

Our staff across all levels and areas of the business are encouraged to participate to share their ideas and be a part of shaping the organisation’s future via our Vertical Slice Group which also meets quarterly.

Our Strategic Plan

To develop our latest Strategic Plan, we first sought the voices of the people most impacted by our work – those who we support along with their family and guardians. Their feedback and opinions were then combined with those of our team and our Board.
