A skip to content link is available at the top of every page. This link enables users with screen reading software to skip over navigation links and jump directly to the textual content of a page.
Accessibility keyboard shortcuts
Screen readers
If you use a screen reader software like NVDA (NonVisual Desktop Access) for Windows or VoiceOver for macOS and iOS, familiarise yourself with the specific keyboard shortcuts and commands for navigation, such as:
- H: Move to the next heading
- B: Move to the next button
- L: Move to the next link
- T: Move to the next table
- R: Read the current line
- CTRL (or Command) + Option + U: Open a list of form fields on a page
Zoom in and out
Increase or decrease the zoom level of the web page to make the content more readable. You can usually do this with the following shortcuts:
- Windows/Linux: CTRL and + (plus) to zoom in, CTRL and – (minus) to zoom out
- macOS: Command and + (plus) to zoom in, Command and – (minus) to zoom out
Find text on a page
Use the find feature to search for specific text on a web page. Press CTRL (or Command) + F to open the find bar, then type in the keyword you’re looking for.
Tab navigation
Use the Tab key to navigate through interactive elements on a webpage, such as links, buttons, and form fields. Pressing Shift + Tab will move you in the reverse direction.
