📅 Date: Tuesday 9 June
🕙 Time: 10:00am – 11:00am
📍 Location: Lyall Richardson Hall

The free workshop, What Goes in Which Bin?, has been designed to provide participants and support workers with practical, real-world learning experiences that encourage greater independence and community participation.
During the session, attendees will learn how to correctly sort household waste, understand what items belong in each council bin, and discover how to responsibly dispose of materials that cannot go into regular recycling or waste bins. Whether it is a plastic bottle, pizza box, or household packaging, the workshop will help make recycling easier to understand while encouraging positive environmental habits.
The workshop is designed to be engaging, accessible, and community-focused, creating opportunities for participants to strengthen communication skills, build confidence, and connect with others through shared learning experiences. It also encourages teamwork, inclusion, and practical sustainability skills that can be applied in everyday life.
We are incredibly grateful to the Switch Your Thinking team for the time, resources, and effort they are contributing to make this workshop inclusive and beneficial for everyone involved. Their support helps create meaningful opportunities for participants to continue developing independent living skills in a supportive and welcoming environment.
Participants, support workers, and members of the wider community are encouraged to attend, learn new sustainability tips, and connect with others who are passionate about making a positive difference.
