Bunbury Bliss: A Recipe for Independence, Connection, and Laughter!
We’re buzzing with excitement to share the fantastic tale of our recent Bunbury Retreat. Picture this: 17 incredible participants diving into a weekend filled with newfound independence, forging connections, and, of course, a sprinkle of pure, unadulterated fun!
Among our rockstar crew was Chantal, a familiar face from Mandurah STA, boldly stepping into the Bunbury scene for the first time. The transformation was nothing short of magical — from a shy wallflower to a social butterfly, Chantal embodied the spirit of breaking barriers and embracing the joy of community.
And let’s talk about our fresh faces — Molly, Parys, and Sarah. These first-timers not only embraced the bunk bed life but also conquered the kitchen, turning meal prep into a culinary adventure. The air was buzzing with laughter and the sweet aroma of newfound friendships.
The heart of the retreat? Independence! Each participant took the reins of their culinary destiny, whipping up dishes that could rival any MasterChef episode. Late-night chatter and giggles turned the retreat into a 24/7 party where bonds were forged over shared spatulas and secret recipes.
But wait, there’s more! Picture this: a night of pampering under the stars. Footbaths, facial masks, and nail painting became the highlight of our retreat – a tradition in the making that promises to be a staple in our future STAs and programs.
Venturing beyond the retreat center, our crew hopped aboard the Dolphin Cruise. Dolphins made cameo appearances, leaving everyone in awe and ensuring that this weekend would be etched in memory.
Big shoutout to our incredible support staff! They were the glue that held this adventure together, effortlessly navigating challenges and ensuring smiles were the order of the day (and night!).
For those who initially felt the butterflies of anxiety, they soon found themselves cocooned in the warm embrace of new friends. It’s safe to say that the cooperative spirit and genuine care were the secret ingredients to making this weekend an absolute blast!
