Every year on December 3rd, the City of Armadale celebrates the International Day of People with Disability with an inclusive All Abilities Active event at the Armadale Fitness & Aquatic Centre, offering adaptive sports, games like table tennis, cricket, and basketball, art activities, quiet zones, and free food such as a sausage sizzle and ice cream for all to enjoy. The day celebrates inclusion and accessibility for people of all ages and abilities, with accessible facilities like aquatic wheelchairs and ramps making sure everyone feels welcome and able to participate.
This year, for the second consecutive time, some of our 4LifeSkills participants were actively involved as volunteers, helping the City of Armadale run the sausage sizzle with great energy, enthusiasm, and a wonderful attitude. Their willingness to contribute and support others truly helped make the event feel warm, welcoming, and full of community spirit.
We are so grateful to our participants for their active involvement and positive energy, your contributions made the day even more meaningful and memorable for everyone. Thank you for your hard work, your smiles, and your dedication to helping make this celebration one that truly honored inclusion and belonging!
