From the 24th to the 26th of July 2025, a vibrant group of participants embarked on a truly memorable adventure at the Boshack Eco Respite Camp. Nestled in the heart of nature just 90 minutes from Perth, this unique getaway offered more than just beautiful scenery—it became a powerful space for growth, learning, and genuine connection.
Unplugging to Reconnect
In a world that rarely slows down, Boshack provided a much-needed break. Participants had the chance to unplug from daily distractions and reconnect—with themselves, each other, and the natural world around them. The tranquil lake, fresh air, and rustic surroundings created the perfect backdrop for personal reflection and new friendships.
Skill-Building in Action
The camp wasn’t just about relaxation—it was also a space for building life skills in an inclusive and engaging environment. Attendees developed essential daily living and interpersonal skills, increased their independence, and participated in life skill activities designed to empower them for everyday success. For many, it was a joyful step toward greater self-reliance and confidence.
Campfire Chats & Canoe Rides
Each day was packed with hands-on activities that brought the group closer together. From feeding animals and building shelters to paddling canoes and sharing stories around the campfire, every moment was filled with laughter, learning, and connection. These shared experiences fostered deep bonds and unforgettable memories.
Community, Comfort & Care
Participants enjoyed specially designed accommodation and delicious cooked meals shared in a lively communal dining space. The focus on community made everyone feel welcome and included, turning strangers into friends over the course of just a few days.
A Heartfelt Thank You
Thanks to the team at 4lifeskills and the support of the NDIS, this Eco Respite Camp was more than just a getaway—it was a transformative experience. The smiles, achievements, and friendships formed over the weekend are a testament to the power of inclusive, nature-based programs.
We’re already looking forward to the next one!
